Tips For Your Appointment

To ensure a smooth notary session, please have all relevant documents ready and confirm that you have a valid form of identification available for verification. This helps us expedite the authentication process and maintain compliance with legal requirements.

Before your notarization, we verify your identity using:

  • Credential analysis — scanning and validating your government-issued ID
  • Knowledge-based authentication (KBA) — a short series of identity questions from public records
  • Live video confirmation — you’ll appear on camera so your notary can match you to your ID

This process takes just a few minutes and is required by Vermont law.

To ensure a smooth, successful appointment, please have the following ready:

Valid government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, or state ID) — not expired
A device with a working camera and microphone (phone, tablet, or computer)
A stable internet connection
Your document(s) ready to upload in PDF format
You must be physically located in the United States at the time of your appointment

After submitting your appointment request, you will receive a confirmation email with further instructions and a secure link to your online session. Please review the information carefully and contact us promptly if any adjustments are needed.

During your scheduled session, our certified notary will guide you through the remote notarization process. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive professional support at every step.
